Ли Перри, «Скрэтч» — ямайский музыкант и продюсер, одна из ключевых фигур жанра реггей. Во многом благодаря экспериментам Перри был полноценно развит стиль даб. Работал со множеством известных исполнителей, включая Боба Марли и Макса Ромео.

Биография

Родился в бедной крестьянской семье. Рано начал увлекаться музыкой, работал в Кингстоне в студиях Клемента Додда и Джо Гиббса. В 1968 году создал студийную группу The Upsetters и одноименный лейбл, где впоследствии были записаны многие песни Боба Марли.

В 1974 году основал студию Black Ark, где работал с Максом Ромео, Джуниором Мервином, The Heptones, The Congos. В 1977 году сотрудничал с The Clash. С 1988 года проживает в Швейцарии.
